A Guide to Naples' Famous Galas

Naples is the most philanthropic place I've ever lived.  It may be one of the most philanthropic places in the nation.  Did you know your property taxes are lower because the Naples Winter Wine Festival gives so much money to children's charities and takes the burden off of tax payers?  

It's a beautiful thing.  Starting mid-January you'll notice a parade of Learjets landing every 3 minutes at the Naples airport.  And from that day until the end of April the Galas never end.  There are fundraising dinners, parties, and even a Hats in the Garden lunch at the Botanical Garden.  There's a fundraiser for every cause you can think of.  

The pandemic has forced many of the fundraisers to go virtual and our charities will most likely be hit hard because of that.  But there are still a few in-person events planned for 2020/2021.  

A great place to start your search for the perfect opportunity to give is the Naples Charity Register, which is published every November.  I have been known to Chair a Gala or two in my day, so if you want to delve deeper, let's have coffee and I'll give you the inside scoop.
