Bonita Springs is a small town that sits just north of Naples, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Bonita Springs has a much more laid back casual flair than Naples. It's known for having some of the best restaurants in Southwest Florida and many of them are in non-assuming strip centers. There is The Promenade shopping center that features the delectable DeRomos market and restaurant and the Trianon Hotel just opened a gorgeous new steak house.
The historic downtown sits on a small winding river and there are no national chains on their main street. There is the historic Shangri-la Springs hotel which now features a spa and organic restaurant. There is the beautiful Riverside Park which often features small music and art festivals, and there is a new $14 million library. They are also going to rebuild their skateboard park that was closed after Hurricane Irma.

One difference between Naples and Bonita Springs is that Bonita Springs is not on the beach. There is an estuary separating them, and Bonita Beach is actually on a barrier island. So it takes longer to get to the beach from most residential locations in Bonita Springs.

There are many types of neighborhoods in Bonita Springs and their prices rival Naples. We lived in Bonita Bay for a couple of years and loved everything about it - from the neighborhood parks and walking paths through the jungle, to the beach tram that takes you to their private beach, our time there is remembered fondly. My clients describe Bonita Bay as the Garden of Eden - they have more than 100 landscapers on staff and the entire community is lush and green and a tropical paradise.
